Master yourself and flourish toward happiness and serenity
It's essential to know yourself and your emotional triggers to gain mastery over your life and find happiness. With time and consistent practice of Stoicism, you'll find the events that trigger you and lead to irrational responses disturbing your peace of mind.
Stoic Buddy helps you become aware of your trigger events and emotional patterns. Being aware of them allows you to learn more about yourself so that you can be free from the shackles of your spontaneous emotions and make conscious choices for a happy and serene life.
But knowing is not enough; you must take the necessary steps to manage them. In our app, you can write your own mantra connected to a specific trigger. You also can categorize and label your trigger (e.g., fear, worry, anger). Then, whenever such an event occurs, you can immediately counter with your mantra. If you haven't internalized it yet, you can open the Stoic Buddy app, read your mantra and calm down.
A thing counter is a helpful tool you can use for your Stoic practice in several ways. For example, you could use it to keep track of how many times you've performed a particular habit each day or how often you've had a negative thought (e.g., you can question these thoughts in your journaling practice later and get to their root cause).
It also can be helpful to count the daily moments where you felt gratitude or your acts of kindness and to review them each evening as a reminder of all the good things in your life.
